Online training "Physical therapy for geriatrics and non-communicable diseases", April, 21st, 2021.
This April 21st, 2021, held the online training “Physical therapy for geriatrics and non-communicable diseases.” This event took place for Ukrainian partners under the project “Innovative Rehabilitation Education - Introduction of New Master’s Degree Programs in Ukraine” within the EU Erasmus + program. The following reports were presented to the participants:
- Aija Klavina (Latvian Academy of Sports Education), on the topic: “Physical therapy of persons of gerontological age with type 2 diabetes”.
- Kwok Ng (EUFAPA), on the topic: “Functional self-assessments and monitoring among older populations.”
- Elaine Toomey (EUFAPA), on the topic: “Physical activity programs for older people with non-communicable disease: group and community-based approaches.”
From the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Department, NUUPES participated in this event assoc. Prof. S.V. Havreliuk presented a report on the topic: “Geriatric syndromes. Malnutrition syndrome”.
Total, about 100 participants from higher education institutions-partners of the project took part in the event.
